NEW SERVICES FROM MINDSPRINGWe recently announced partnerships with BellSouth and Covad Communications to provide ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) services to you. These partnerships will allow us to offer services in Atlanta, Miami, Raleigh, Charlotte, San Francisco, Dallas, Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, San Diego, and Sacramento by the end of 1999. We plan to launch in Atlanta and San Francisco in mid to late September. Keep an eye on our home page for announcements regarding ADSL availability in additional cities. We plan to roll out ADSL coverage nationwide as quickly as we can. ADSL service will allow you to connect to MindSpring and the Internet at much higher speeds - generally over 1 million bits per second vs. a maximum of 56 thousand bits per second with a dial-up modem. Plus, the connection is "always on", meaning you do not have to dial up and hang up - you are always connected.
