Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Why is it that people do not trust government? Is everything that comes from our current "leaders" just completely bullshit? The Army lying to a mother about the death of her son is just one example, but its a very egregious example.

Is anything we have ever been told by the Bush administration and for that matter the entire government true (no Bush does not control every facet of the massive "look over there shiny stuff" machine that our government has become but his administration is inarguably in control at a time when bullshit is the norm and when a culture of deception and politicizing every event is prevalent - credit where due).

Why is "transparency" important in government? Why do people question authority? Oh yeah, its because they "hate America".
