Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

So I admit other than reading about it I have not really used J2SE 1.5 "Tiger" yet. Am I alone? Anyway as part of the "Tiger" process Sun allowed developers early access to "snapshot" binaries and the response was great. They have decided to keep that up and in fact have already releases such snapshots for J2SE 1.6 "Mustang". They are really making an effort to improve the process and involve the community, it would be nice to see Sun do the entire open source Java thing (IMHO) but short of that the community process is still pretty good.
